Laboratory
Nakasero Hospital operates a fully fledged laboratory, fitted with state of the art equipment to enable completion of most investigations.
The laboratory is run by competent staff that will ensure timely delivery of results. All investigations are conducted in-house providing timely support to all the various hospital activities. The laboratory also carries out investigations for institutions and individuals outside the hospital and is open 24 hours a day.
Pharmacy
Kuluva Hospital pharmacy is stocked with drugs from reputable pharmaceuticals. It is run by qualified and experienced pharmacists assisted by several pharmacy technicians. The entire pharmacy team has undergone training in Pharmaceutical Care and Patient-Medicine Management. It is open 24-hours a day.
Radiology
Kuluva Hospital Imaging Center has in place a world-class imaging center with all equipment connected to a mini Picture Archiving and Communication System(PACs) that facilitates teleradiology.
The imaging center features the following top-of-the range Siemens equipment:
- 128 slice CT – Scan
- 1.5T MRI
- Mammography machine
- X-Ray scan with Fluoroscopy
- 4-D Ultrasound machine
The department is open 24 hours and is run by competent Radiographers and Radiologists. The digital equipment allows for support from remote Radiologists to report electronically.
Physiotherapy Unit
The physiotherapy center specializes in a wide range of rehabilitation services including General Physiotherapy, Women’s Health services, Occupational therapy, Speech and Language therapy among others. The unit is open Monday to Saturday 8am-6pm offering both Outpatient and inpatient services.
Dental Unit
This unit is run by two dental surgeons and a public health dental officer. The department is fully equipped with two dental chairs, dental x-ray, Cerec machine and offices with a full range of dental services. It operates Monday to Saturday and consultations are by appointment. Appointments can be made by either filling the appointment form or through call. Emergency cases; however can be accommodated same day.
